Russell Westbrook Holds Celebrity Charity Bowling Event

EDMOND, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma City star point guard Russell Westbrook held his annual Celebrity Charity Bowling event to benefit The Oklahoma City Urban Youth Scholarship Fund Saturday. The rising NBA superstar always ensures to give back to the community any time he has the opportunity.

“The main thing is giving back to the community, especially in the inner-city kids and high school,” Westbrook said. “That was a big part of my life growing up, so I would like to do it as well.”

Thunder teammates were in attendance and, despite several of them lacking bowling skills, make sure they always participate in outreach events.

“We have a lot of really good guys on our team and they do a lot of things in the community,” Cole Aldrich said. “Whenever one of us has something like this in the community, we want to come out and support, because Russell supports us.”
