OU and OSU Softball Move Up in AP Top 25
Both the Oklahoma and Oklahoma State softball teams moved up one spot in this week’s AP Top 25 rankings.

OKLAHOMA CITY—The Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma State Cowgirls both moved up a spot in this week’s ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll.
Oklahoma now sits at No. 7 while the Cowgirls come in at No. 17.
The number one spot belongs to Alabama who reclaimed the No. 1 ranking after a weekend sweep of the then No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs. The Crimson Tide received 16 first place votes Alabama was the top ranked team the third week of the season and has since then been the runner-up in three of the five remaining weeks.

The Sooners went 4-2 this past weekend in the Judi Garman Classic. Beating No. 4 ranked Washington 7-6 on Saturday to give head coach Patti Gasso her 800th victory at Oklahoma.
Earlier in the weekend OU split a pair of games Friday at the Judi Garman Classic. OU fell to Penn State 5-2 in the day's first game and rebounded to run rule Pacific, 13-2, in five innings. They also beat DePaul 4-3.
The Sooners return to action Wednesday on the road against Tulsa at 6 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Cowgirls spent the weekend playing in the USF-The Game Tournament where they won five games including a 10-2 run rule in six innings on the last day of the tournament.
Oklahoma State will play again Tuesday on the road against Missouri State at 5 p.m. As a conference, the Big 12 has eight teams ranked in the top 25 including two teams in the top 10.
Oklahoma opens Big 12 play this weekend against No. 18 Nebraska while OSU will play Iowa State.
