TU to Announce New Head Women’s Basketball Coach
The University of Tulsa is expected to announce Matilda Mossman as the new coach of the Golden Hurricane.

TULSA, Okla. –The University of Tulsa will introduce its new head women’s basketball coach at a press conference scheduled for Tuesday at 2 p.m..
Sources confirmed to Oklahoma Sports that Matilda Mossman will be the new coach at the helm of the TU women’s program.

Mossman has been the head girls basketball coach at Norman High School for the past nine years, where she built a record-setting career record of 191-53.
Coach Mossman will replace Charlene Thomas-Swinson who spent six years as the TU head coach and compiled a 72-103 overall record. The University announced they would not renew Thomas-Swinson’s contract the same night the team’s season ended in a 71-62 loss in the first round of the Conference USA women’s tournament.
The Golden Hurricane finished the 2010-2011 season with an overall record of 5-20 and 1-15 in conference play.
Mossman has 13 years combined experience as a collegiate head coach at the University of Arkansas and Kansas State University.
