STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State point guard Ray Penn has been suspended indefinitely from the OSU basketball team for failure to follow team policy, coach Travis Ford announced on Thursday.
“I’m suspending Ray indefinitely,” Ford said. “He has some things he needs to work on outside of basketball, and this will give him time to focus and spend some quality time in the academic center.”
Penn, a sophomore guard from Houston, Texas has started 10 games for the Cowboys this season and has played in all 26.
He has averaged 6.1 points and 2.1 assists per game.
OSU’s next game is against Texas Tech at 12:45 p.m. Saturday at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Oklahoma Sports will update the story as more details become available.
