WACO, Texas -- A late-game comeback by Baylor sent the game to extras and a strong relief performance from Trae Davis gave the Bears a 5-4, 10-inning win over Oral Roberts in the series finale Sunday.

The Golden Eagles (1-2) held a 3-2 lead heading into the top of the seventh and in the first at-bat of the seventh Brandon King homered to right to extend the advantage to two runs.

After forcing two pitching changes by loading the bases, Baylor’s (2-1) Josh Ludy singled to right center to score Max Muncy and Steve DalPorto and tie the game 4-4.

In the eighth, Davis (0-1) took over at the mound in the top of the eighth for Baylor and put a stranglehold on the Golden Eagles. The freshman pitched three innings, allowing just one hit and striking out one batter, receiving a win for the outing.

Sean Johnson (0-1) came in to pitch for ORU in the bottom of the eighth and kept the Bears off of the scoreboard for his first two innings of service. However in the 10th, Baylor played small ball, advancing Chris Slater to scoring position via sacrifice bunt. In the next-at bat, Jake Miller singled down the right field line to bring Slater home and end the game.

Oral Roberts will travel back to Tulsa for its home opener at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday against Wichita State.
