ORU Ends Losing Streak with Win over South Dakota State

BROOKINGS, South Dakota -- A big night from Warren Niles propelled Oral Roberts to a 90-82 win over South Dakota State Saturday to snap a four-game losing streak.
Niles scored 25 points and made all five 3-point attempts as Oral Roberts shot 65 percent from the field in the win.
The Golden Eagles (6-12, 3-3) connected on 14 of 17 3-pointers, but the Jackrabbits (11-5, 3-2) kept pace, making 13 of their 29 attempts.
Nate Wolters kept South Dakota State in the game with his hot shooting, making 12 of 16 shots, and he finished with a game-high 32 points. Wolters made 4 of 5 3-point attempts.
Oral Roberts, which led 42-36 at halftime, made 34 of 52 shots and out-rebounded South Dakota State 35-22.
South Dakota State got as close as 78-76 with 2:38 remaining, but two Niles 3-pointers gave Oral Roberts an 84-78 lead, and the Golden Eagles continued to stretch their lead over the final minute.
The Golden Eagles return home for a three-game home stand, starting at 7:05 p.m. Thursday against Southern Utah.
