PHOENIX -- As freezing temperatures and snowstorms sweep the country, the Sooners and the Connecticut Huskies arrived in sunny Phoenix on Sunday to crowds of supporters and tunes from a mariachi band.

The Big 12 Champion Sooners will take on the Big East Champ Connecticut in the Fiesta Bowl on New Year’s Day, but until then the teams will prepare and attempt to make the game week experience as focused as possible.

Bob Stoops and UConn coach Randy Edsall spoke to the media Sunday about their matchup and on preparing for a BCS bowl game.
