UConn Grad, Tulsa Oiler Sean Erickson Picks Huskies for Fiesta Bowl

TULSA, Oklahoma – In his college years, Tulsa Oilers second-year defenseman Sean Erickson was a four-year starter for the University of Connecticut hockey team.

In a recent Tulsa Oilers press release, it was announced: “In an effort to let defenseman Sean Erickson watch his alma mater’s football team in the Fiesta Bowl, the Tulsa Oilers have announced a change in the start time for Saturday January 1st from 7:35 p.m. to 3:05 p.m. Central time.”

Sean Erickson has joked that he wouldn’t play the hockey game that day unless he was given the opportunity to watch the Fiesta Bowl, which will pit his Huskies against the Oklahoma Sooners.

When asked for a score prediction for the January 1st showdown between UConn and OU, Erickson did not give a score, but insisted his Huskies will win by three.
