TULSA, Oklahoma – Marshall Moses has had big games before. Earlier this year he scored 27 points and grabbed nine rebounds against DePaul. Last week he scored 30 points and grabbed a career-high tying 18 boards.

Wednesday night, he topped both of those games.

Moses was perfect in a 31-point performance against Tulsa. The Oklahoma State senior made all 12 of his shots, setting a school and conference record for most made baskets without a miss. He chuckled in the post game interview session after admitting he was frustrated with himself for missing one of his seven free throw attempts.

He was, simply, in the zone.

“You could say that,” he smiled after the game. “I really was just playing. Another night where I didn’t know how many points I had.”

Moses dominated in the paint against the smaller Golden Hurricane frontcourt. Tulsa’s starting center, Steven Idlet, didn’t play because of a sore knee. Without the 6-foot-11 junior there to clog up the lanes to the basket, Moses feasted.

“Even without Idlet, Tulsa’s a really good team, but of course, he’s a big time player,” said Moses. “So with him not playing, you kind of have a relief factor.”

Moses gave the rest of the Golden Hurricane players fits.

“He threw it in from anywhere he shot it,” said TU head coach Doug Wojcik. “He was just too much for us in the post.”

Moses is now averaging over 19 points and nearly nine rebounds per game this year.

“Good things have happened for him,” said his coach, Travis Ford. “He’s just got to stay humble and stay hungry.”
