OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City Thunder will host its first game of the 2010 season Wednesday, but fans will have to face the ongoing construction of downtown.
As Project 180 continues, commuters will be encouraged to arrive early and pay particular attention to the message board posted along the interstate.
Fans that have parking passes are asked to use the E.K. Gaylord entrance, as opposed to the Robinson entrance.
Drivers are encouraged to drop off guests with disabilities in the alley located south of Reno, off of E.K. Gaylord next to the Courtyard Marriott.
Robinson Avenue’s access is extremely limited, so commuters are asked to use one of the following routes instead:
1)From Interstate 235 northbound, use the Sheridan exit into Bricktown
2)From I-235 southbound, take the N. 6th Street exit
3)From Interstate 40 eastbound, use the Walker exit
Thunder Alley will kick off outside the north side of the Oklahoma City Arena at 4 p.m. and features fun for all ages.
A performance by Oklahoma City native and pop artist Graham Colton will unveil a special song for Thunder fans. Music will also be provided by Avenue, an Oklahoma City rock band.
Thunder Alley has something for the entire family, including, inflatables, interactive games, $1 Budweiser beers, face-painting, caricature artists, a basketball court, a chance to buy Thunder gear and more.
If you can’t attend the game, be sure to tune in on FOX Sports Oklahoma (37 Cox, 722 HD).
Fans are also encouraged to wear blue to Wednesday's game. The team wants to welcome the new season with a "blue out," as it tips off against the Chicago Bulls at 7 p.m.
If you’re going to the game, snap a fan photo and send it to pics@Oklahoma Sports.
