NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Austin Box and Roy Finch have been practicing and will be suited up to play October 16, when the Sooners host the Iowa State Cyclones.
Box suffered a preseason back injury, and missed most of last season due to a knee injury. The junior linebacker was expected to step in as one of the leaders of a talented corps of linebackers for OU.

Teammate Travis Lewis said he's glad to have six-foot-two-inch, 232 pound linebacker back.
"That never hurt any team more depth," Lewis said. "Cause you never know what could happen...someone could go down in an instant and you know it's good to have a guy like that that can play mike and will that can step up and play for either of us."
Finch also suffered his injury in the preseason. The freshman running back broke his foot and has been rehabilitating his foot since.
Fellow freshman, Tony Jefferson, knows what Finch is capable of when healthy and is confident is what he’ll bring to the team’s running game.
“You’ll be seeing a lot from Roy Finch, just know that,” Jefferson said. “His moves are Reggie Bush-like. Yeah, you’ll enjoy watching him.”
Oklahoma’s head coach, Bob Stoops, said both Box and Finch returned to practice Monday and will be vying for playing time October 16.
