Oklahoma City Thunder’s Nick Collison Sidelined

OKLAHOMA CITY --Oklahoma City Thunder forward Nick Collison will be sidelined for the beginning of the 2010-11 training camp due to a bone bruise in his left knee.

After an evaluation Tuesday, the team decided it was best to rest the 6'10" forward for the beginning of camp and to re-evaluate his injury in the coming weeks to determine when he will be healthy enough to participate.

Collison averaged 5.9 points and 5.1 rebounds for the Thunder during the 2009-10 season.

Oklahoma City begins preseason play Oct. 6 in Charlotte at 6:00 p.m.
