STILLWATER, Oklahoma – One of OSU’s deepest positions became one of its most vulnerable.
Senior Orie Lemon provides the Cowboys with a solid starter and a defensive leader at the middle linebacker position, but his three backups – all scholarship players – are likely finished for the season, coaches have said.
Tolu Moala tore his ACL earlier this week and will miss the 2010 season. Senior Kenny Alexander (Achilles tendon) and true freshman Caleb Lavey (elbow) are also expected to miss the entire year for the Cowboys.
Tyler Johnson, a freshman from Haskell, Oklahoma, was No. 5 on the depth chart but will now be the backup at middle linebacker entering the season.
