OSU Announces Mitch Jones Memorial Scholarship

STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma State University announced its first endowed memorial scholarship for the Cowboy Basketball team Sunday.

The Mitch Jones Memorial Scholarship is fully funded $500,000 endowment for one yearly scholarship, funded by his family, friends and OSU supporters.

Jones was a four-year letterman at Oklahoma State, playing for the cowboys in 1982-86 including an appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 1983. He died in 2004 in an automobile accident on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike.
