UNCASVILLE, Connecticut -- The Tulsa Shock’s disappointing inaugural season continued Tuesday with a 90-62 loss to the Connecticut Sun, extending the Shock’s losing streak to five games.

Tulsa’s offense was inconsistent throughout the game, while the Sun connected on more than half of their shots. The Shock shot 28.9 percent from the floor, while just one starter scored in double digits – Scholanda Robinson with 18 points.

Shanna Crossley and Marion Jones both saw big minutes off the bench and scored 10 points each for Tulsa.

The Sun’s Renee Montgomery led all scorers with 22 points, while former University of Connecticut star Tina Charles scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Tulsa trailed by just seven points at halftime, but a 12-0 run by Connecticut halfway through the third quarter gave the Sun a 21-point lead.

The Shock will play one more road game Thursday against the New York Liberty before returning home Saturday for their season finale against the Chicago Sky.
