Oklahoma City Allows 10 Runs to Salt Lake in Loss
The RedHawks starter gave up eight runs on 10 hits in the loss.

SALT LAKE CITY -- After a four-run win Thursday, the Oklahoma City RedHawks allowed the Salt Lake Bees to score 10 runs in three innings to fall 10-6 Friday.
Salt Lake (59-55) got started early with a Mark Trumbo three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning. Two outs later, Nick Gorneault singled to right field to score Hank Conger and take a 4-0 lead.
The RedHawks (59-53) answered in the second inning with a Brandon Boggs two-run double in the third at-bat of inning. Two at-bats later, Gregorio Petit singled to center to bring Boggs home close the gap to one run. Oklahoma City tied the game at 4-4 two batters later on a Craig Gentry sacrifice fly to bring Hernan Iribarren home.
Oklahoma City took the lead in the top of the third on a Chris Davis ground ball to center to score Esteban German.
The Bees responded in the bottom of the third with an RBI double, RBI triple and a ground out in for a score in consecutive at-bats to retake the lead 7-5. Two innings later, Salt Lake added three more runs –two unearned – to extend the lead to 10-5.
Eric Junge (3-0) remained undefeated on the season, despite allowing six earned runs on 11 hits in his six innings of service. Guillermo Moscoso (7-5) lasted just 4.2 innings for the RedHawks after allowing eight earned runs on 10 hits.
Oklahoma City will close out the four-game series at 8:05 p.m. Saturday in Salt Lake City.
