TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Tulsa Shock’s attendance numbers have been less-than-stellar this season, but those in the BOK Center on Tuesday nightwere rewarded for their loyalty.

The Shock came into the game holding by far the league’s worst record ready to take on a Seattle team cruising atop the league standings. But the impossible task became a reality as Tulsa withstood the Storm and pulled off an 84-75 upset.

The game stayed close throughout the first half, but a four-point play from the Shock’s Amber Holt with 28 seconds left in the first sparked a 7-0 run to end the half. A buzzer-beater 3-pointer from guard Kiesha Brown gave the Shock a 48-41 lead at the half.

The Storm rallied back several times, pulling to within four at one point on a Swin Cash jumper to cut the Tulsa lead to 56-52. But the Shock controlled the game from then on, leading by as many as 13 with 3:59 left before coasting to the nine-point win.

Guard Scholanda Robinson led Tulsa with 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting. Guard Ivory Latta chipped in 15 points and seven assists, and forward Tiffany Jackson added 11 points and five rebounds.

The Shock snapped a seven-game losing streak dating back to July 17 against Phoenix. Seattle suffered just its fourth loss of the season, but its second straight. The Storm had won 13 of its previous 14 coming into Tuesday’s game in Tulsa.

Tulsa will try to carry its momentum to Los Angeles on Friday to take on the Sparks. Tipoff is set for 9:30 p.m.
