LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas -- The Tulsa Drillers’ offense was unable to get going in the series finale against the Arkansas Travelers and closed the four-game series with a 1-0 loss Monday.
Travelers’ pitcher Andrew Tyler (1-3) kept the Tulsa offense in check. In his six innings pitched, he allowed just two runners to reach scoring position and struck out five. Brandon Durden (4-8) pitched six innings in his outing for Tulsa, allowing six hits and one earned run in the loss.
The lone run of the game came on a pair of doubles in the top of the second. In the first at-bat of the inning, Charlton Jimmerson doubled to left field, and two at-bats later Roberto Lopez doubled to right field to bring him home.
The Drillers will travel to Springdale, Arkansas to take start a four-game series with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Arvest Ballpark.
