LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas -- The Tulsa Drillers extended their win streak to three games with a 7-3 win over the Arkansas Travelers Saturday.

Arkansas (39-66) took the lead in the bottom of the first when Nick Gorneault took a walk with the bases loaded to bring Alexi Amarista home. A Jeremy Moore leadoff home run in the bottom of the third extended the lead to 2-0.

The Drillers’ (51-53) first run came in the top of the fourth when a wild pitch by Tyler Chatwood allowed Wilin Rosario to score from third and cut the gap in half.

The Travelers added another run in the bottom of the fifth when Charlton Jimmerson scored on a fielder’s choice, but a four-run sixth gave Tulsa the lead.

In the second at-bat of the sixth, Jason Van Kooten doubled to left field to bring Charles Blackmon home and pull within one run. Four at-bats later, Lars Davis hit into a force out allowing Jason Van Kooten to tie the game at 3-3. Tulsa took the lead in the next at-bat on a Michael Mitchell RBI single to score Bronson Sardinha. A wild pitch two batters later scored Lars Davis from third to give Tulsa a 5-3 lead.

Two Rosario RBI singles in the seventh and the ninth added two runs of insurance to the Drillers’ lead, but Arkansas wouldn’t threaten again.

Jonathan Aristil (1-0) was credited with his first win of the season after allowing just one earned run in his 2.2 innings pitched. Anthony Ortega allowed two earned runs in .2 innings pitched to receive his first loss and blown save of the year.

Tulsa will try to keep its win streak going at 6:10 p.m. Sunday.
