SAN ANTONIO -- The Tulsa Drillers blanked San Antonio 8-0 in Tuesday’s series finale. The Drillers have won seven of their last eight games.
Tulsa scored a run in each of the first three innings to take a 3-0 lead. Radames Nazario added to Tulsa’s tally with a two-run single in the top of the eighth. Johnny Bowden would cross the plate later in the inning to give the Drillers a 6-0 lead.
Bowden and Nazario would score in the ninth to push Tulsa’s lead to 8-0. Chris Malone retired the side in the bottom of the ninth to seal the Drillers victory.
The Drillers used four pitchers that scattered two hits against the Missions’. Starter Ching Lung Lo (3-3) gave up just one hit in five innings and earned the win.
Wynn Peltzer (6-9) was tagged with the loss after giving up three runs (two earned) in six innings.
The Drillers have an off day Wednesday before starting a four-game homestand against Arkansas Thursday.
