Oklahoma City RedHawks win Fourth Straight

The RedHawks outlast Round Rock to continue their winning streak.

ROUND ROCK, Texas -- Oklahoma City doubled up Round Rock 4-2 on Friday. The victory pushes the RedHawks winning streak to four.

Ryan Garko hit the game’s only home run with a solo shot in the top of the sixth to left. Two runners crossed the plate for Oklahoma City in the fifth marking the only multiple run inning of the contest.

Wladmir Sutil scored the first and last runs of the game for the Express. He crossed the plate in the bottom of the first and in the bottom of the seventh.

Round Rock tied the RedHawks with eight hits but the Express stranded nine base runners.

Oklahoma City starter Michael Kirkman (8-3) allowed just one run in six innings and earned the win.

Sergio Perez (3-3) was tagged with the loss after giving up three runs (two earned) in five innings.

The two teams continue their series at 7:05 p.m. Saturday.
