STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- Another highly-touted wide receiver has verbally committed to Oklahoma State University. 5-foot-10, 175-pound Johnny Haynes committed to OSU.

Listed as a three-star recruit by Scout.com, Haynes may shift to running back in offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen’s offense.

The University of Oklahoma and the University of Tulsa are among roughly a dozen schools thought to have offered Haynes a scholarship.

Oklahoma State already received a verbal commitment from another smallish wide receiver, Mustang’sDavid Glidden, who spoke about how Holgorsen’s offense is built for speedy slot players. “[Holgorsen] talked to me about Wes Welker, all those guys like that that he’s coached and he said [size] doesn’t even matter,” said Glidden in an interview with Oklahoma Sports's Chad McKee.

Haynes, who recorded nearly 900 yards of total offense at MacArthur High School in Irving, Texas, is the 13th player to verbally commit to Oklahoma State and the ninth player from Texas.
