NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma head coach Jeff Capel’s inaugural fantasy camp started Friday, giving fans a chance to learn the game from some of the greats in OU Basketball history.
Players in attendance included Blake Griffin, Alvan Adams, Kevin Bookout, Terry Evans, Harvey Grant, Skeeter Henry, Darryl “Choo” Kennedy, John McCullough, Hollis Price and Terry Stotts. Former Sooner head coach Billy Tubbs is also serving as a co-commissioner with Capel.
All participants in the fantasy camp were required to be over the age of 30 and paid an entry fee of $2,500. There was even a 67-year-old camper known as the "Dean of the Camp" by some.
The camp began with a “player evaluation” period, allowing the players that are serving as camp coaches to scout talent for the draft taking place later in the camp.
