ATLANTA, Georgia -- The Tulsa Shock fell 96-90 to the Atlanta Dream Wednesday, marking their sixth straight loss this season.
The Shock (3-9) stayed neck-and-neck with the Dream (10-4) throughout the game, trailing by only three points at halftime. Tulsa was able to stay within striking distance of Atlanta, tying up the game at 86 with just 2:26 remaining.
The Dream’s Sancho Lyttle worked in a three-point play to break the lead. Two layups and two free throws by Angel McCoughtry padded the lead for the Atlanta victory.
McCoughtry ended the game with 29 points, while teammate Erika de Souza finished with 19. Izaine Castro Marques racked up eight assists and added 18 points for Atlanta.
Scholanda Robinson had 17 points for Tulsa, while Kara Braxton finished with 15.
The Tulsa Shock host the New York Liberty Friday at 8 p.m.
