TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Tulsa Drillers held on for a 2-1 victory against Midland Friday night.
Ryan Harvey's solo home run proved to be the difference in the game. Harvey led off the sixth inning with a solo shot to left field to put the Drillers on top 2-1.
Scott Beerer scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the first inning to give Tulsa an early 1-0 lead.
Midland's lone run came in the top of the sixth. Alex Valdez singled to left to drive in Matthew Sulentic. But, on the same play, J.C. Holt was thrown out at third to end the inning.
Cory Riordan (2-4) gave up one earned run in 7.1 innings of work to earn the win for the Drillers.
Pedro Figuerora (1-5) was tagged with the loss after giving up two earned runs in 5.2 innings.
Tulsa hosts a three-game series against Frisco at 6:05 p.m. Saturday.
