TULSA, Oklahoma – The Tulsa Talons’ first road win of the season was more than just an early hurdle for the team. The 52-48 Week 9 win over the Battle Wings boosted the Talons record to 5-3, giving them a two game cushion in the divisional race.
This weekend, the Talons return home to the building they haven’t lost in all season. They will host an Orlando Predators (3-4) team coming off a 62-50 loss to the Tampa Bay Storm. Orlando had won three straight games prior to last week's loss to the Storm.
The Talons defense has played well in recent weeks. Tulsa has allowed less than 50 points for two straight weeks. The Predators’ offense isn’t exactly lighting the league on fire, scoring 52 points per game.
The Talons are fourth in the AFL in points per game, scoring an average of 63 points per contest. Quarterback Justin Allgood, the franchise’s all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns, leads the AFL with 57 scores this season. Donovan Morgan is second in the league with 26 touchdown receptions.
Tulsa is 4-0 at the BOK Center. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
