LAWRENCE, Kansas -- Oklahoma used a four-run ninth inning to rally past Kansas 8-7 Saturday. The victory marked No. 15 Sooners sixth straight win.
Tyler Ogle hit a bases clearing double to cap the ninth for OU. Chris Ellison crossed the plate a few plays earlier to cut KU’s lead to 7-5. Ellison scored the lone run for the Sooners in the seventh inning on a Max White groundout.
Garrett Buchele led off the top of the sixth with a solo homer for the Sooners (41-14, 14-10) third run of the game. He also drove in Caleb Bushyhead on groundouts in the first and third inning.
Brian Heere was responsible for the trio of Kansas (31-23-1, 11-14-1) runs in the bottom of the fourth. Heere hit a two-run double and scored a couple plays later to put KU on top 7-2.
Brett Lisher capped a four-run first inning with a two-run single to center. Heere and Robby Price scored on the preceding plays to give Kansas a 4-1 lead.
J.R. Robinson earned the win for Oklahoma after tossing a three-hitter over five innings.
Colton Murray suffered the loss after giving up two earned runs in 1/3 innings of work.
The two teams conclude the regular season at 1:00 p.m. Sunday.
