OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma State running back Kendall Hunter, OSU punter/kicker Quinn Sharp and Oklahoma punter Tress Way have been named preseason favorites for the College Football Performance Awards.
Hunter, who missed five games in 2009 due to an injury, had 89 carries for 382 yards and one touchdown. In his last full season for the Cowboys, he rushed for 1,555 yards on 241 carries and scored 16 touchdowns.
Sharp won the kickoff specialist performance award in 2009 after kicking 35 touchbacks in his freshman season. The second-year special team ace ranked fifth nationally in punting in 2009, averaging 45.1 yards per punt.
In 2009 for the Sooners, Way finished third in the nation in punting averaging 45.7 yards per punt and pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line on 17 attempts.
