LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas -- The Tulsa Drillers saw a possible victory again slip away Tuesday night, as the Arkansas Travelers used the bottom of the ninth to sneak in a last-minute run to win the game.
In the bottom of the final inning, Arkansas’ Jeremy Moore singled to right field, as teammate Ryan Mount crossed home plate, breaking a 7-7 tie to earn the win.
The team’s battled inning for inning, but Tulsa pulled ahead in the top of the seventh after posting five runs. Arkansas answered back by posting four in the bottom of the eighth, followed by their single run in the final inning.
Nick Bierbrodt finished with the loss after pitching 1.1 innings. He struck out one batter and gave up one hit.
Barret Browning earned the win after pitching 1 inning. He struck out one batter during his time at the mound.
