AUSTIN, Texas -- The Oklahoma State Cowboys couldn’t produce at the plate Saturday, falling to the Texas Longhorns 5-0.
The loss marks the second-straight UT victory in the three-game series. The Cowboys (23-15) narrowly escaped a shutout Friday to the No. 2 Longhorns (33-7), 14-1.
OSU was only able to muster four hits in Saturday’s game, two of which coming from Davis Duren.
Texas pitcher Cole Green (8-0) threw for five innings before giving up his first hit of the game. He threw the complete game shutout, facing 34 batters and striking out five.
Tyler Lyons (3-2) ended with the loss after pitching eight innings. He gave up seven hits, including one home run. He struck out seven batters.
The two teams face off again Sunday at 2 p.m.
