OKLAHOAM CITY -- Just one week after Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford held his Pro Day, Rams quarterback Marc Bulger contacted his coach Steve Spagnuolo, asking him to release the two-time Pro Bowler, according to a report by STLtoday.com.
Bulger reportedly knew his time was limited, especially after Bradford's performance at his Pro Day.
Bulger replaced Kurt Warner in 2003, leading his team to the NFC West championship. He followed the next season by leading the Rams to the playoffs.
The team struggled with several head coaching and coordinator changes, as Bulger was left responsible for much of the declining win record.
Bradford performed exceptionally well in his Pro Day, throwing 63 passes. All but one pass was caught, with the only incompletion coming at the hands of an on-target dropping pass.

According to Oklahoma Sports Oklahoma City Sports Director Dean Blevins, Bradford was “simply sensational.”
Blevins also reported Bradford ate breakfast with members of the St. Louis Rams prior to his March 29 workout. The Rams hold the No. 1 overall pick, which many presume will go toward acquiring Bradford.
The Rams currently have only A.J. Feeley, Keith Null and Mike Reilly at the quarterback position.
