SAN ANTONIO – The OU women’s basketball team arrived at the site of the Final Four Friday, and Oklahoma Sports’s Toby Rowland and Steve McGehee were there to greet them.
The Sooners arrived in style, and the red carpet was rolled out for all four teams still left in the tournament. Among the various familiar faces scene around the red carpet was ESPN analyst and SportsCenter host Hannah Storm.
“A lot of people did not expect [the Sooners] to be back here after losing the Paris twins,” Storm said.
OU is making its second consecutive trip to the Final Four, but its first since losing Ashley and Courtney Paris. Courtney Paris left as one of the most dominant players in OU history.
The Sooners will face No. 1 seed Stanford at 6 p.m. Sunday, and on the other side of the bracket Connecticut will play Baylor.
