LINCOLN, Nebraska – The Oklahoma baseball team failed to complete a three-game sweep of Nebraska on Sunday after falling 10-0 in seven innings. The loss marked the first time Oklahoma was run ruled since April 13, 2008 at Texas A&M.
Nebraska's Tom Lemke managed to hold OU scoreless for the first time this season and also limited the Sooners to a season-low three hits. Lemke actually had a no-hitter through four, but Casey Johnson broke up the bid in the fifth.
The Cornhuskers tagged Ryan Gibson for three runs in the first inning, and eventually expanded that lead to 10-0 after five innings.
The loss snapped the Sooners' five game-winning streak and dropped them to 20-3 overall and 3-1 in Big 12 play. OU returns to Norman for a five-game home stand that begins on Tuesday against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
