STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma State guard James Anderson announced he is leaving the university to declare for the NBA Draft.
A press conference was held Monday afternoon to make his professional basketball aspirations official. Anderson said he has not yet hired an agent.
The junior guard scored more points than any other player in his first three seasons and ranks fourth on Oklahoma State’s all-time scoring list.
In the 2009-10 season, he led the Cowboys with 22.3 points per game and also tallied 5.8 rebounds per contest, while shooting 34.1 percent from 3-point range.
Anderson, the Big 12 Player of the Year, is projected as an early-to-mid first round selection in this year’s NBA Draft.
