WINDSOR, Colorado – Colorado scored three goals in a one-minute span against the Oilers on Saturday night, and cruised to a 5-1 victory.
The Eagles got on the board early with a Steve Haddon goal four minutes into the contest.
After extending the lead to 2-0 early in the second period, the Eagles increased the margin to 5-0 midway through the second when Ed McGrane, Adam Hogg, and Jason Beatty scored goals in less than a minute.
Luke Stauffacher added a powerplay goal in the second, but that would be all for Tulsa.
Marco Emond made 16 saves and took the loss, while Mike Mole made 25 saves and picked up the win.
The Oilers return to the ice on Thursday for a 7:05 p.m. contest at Bossier-Shreveport.
