AMARILLO, Texas — The Tulsa Oilers picked up their third win in four games with a 4-3 victory at Amarillo on Wednesday.
Tulsa put the first points on the board when Jake Riddle and Tyler Butler scored in the first period. Amarillo responded right before the end of the period with a powerplay goal, cutting the Oilers lead to 2-1.
Luke Stauffacher extended the Tulsa lead to 3-1 with a powerplay goal less than a minute into the second period. Amarillo fought back late in the second, however, when David Nimmo put one in net.
Adam Bartholomay extended the lead to two goals in the third and Tulsa held on for the win.
Marco Emond made 37 saves and picked up the win, while Mike Brown made 46 saves and took the loss.
The Oilers return to the ice on Friday for a contest at Colorado.
