James Anderson Named Big 12 Player of the Year

The Cowboys' junior guard led the conference in scoring this season.

IRVING, Texas -- Oklahoma State guard James Anderson has been named Big 12 Player of the Year.

The junior from Junction City, Ark. led the conference in scoring, averaging 22.9 points per game while grabbing six rebounds per game.

Anderson was also named first-team All-Big 12 after being named second-team a last season.

Teammate Obi Muonelo was also named honorable mention All-Big 12. The Big 12 Awards are voted on and announced by the conference's coaches.


Oklahoma State takes on Oklahoma in the opening round of the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City, Miss. Wednesday at 6 p.m.
