OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Thunder followed its nine-game win streak with a two-game losing streak, but is back on its winning ways after a convincing 109-92 win over Minnesota.
Nenad Krstic scored six of Oklahoma City’s first 10 points, while guiding the Thunder to an early 10-4 lead.
He would finish the first half with eight points and two rebounds.
The Thunder led for the entire first half, but the Timberwolves closed the lead to four late in the first half. The offense of Corey Brewer and Ryan Gomes kept Minnesota in the game.
Brewer ended the first half shooting 50 percent for nine points in the opening half, while Ryan Gomes scored eight and grabbed six boards.
Oklahoma City responded with an 8-2 run to close out the half, capped off by a Krstic jumper with Russell Westbrook on the assist.
Westbrook finished the half with eight points, 10 assists and five rebounds.
Kevin Durant led all scorers in the first half with 16 points, adding four rebounds while shooting 6-of-11.
The Thunder made its move to put the game out of reach three minutes into the third quarter, coming out of a timeout to start a 12-2 run to push the lead to 71-49.
Oklahoma City was dominant offensively throughout the game. Five minutes into the third quarter, all five Thunder starters had scored in double digits; 19 for Durant and 10 for the other four.
Westbrook had a career night, tying his career high in assists with 15 while scoring 18 and grabbing eight boards.
Durant got back to his scoring form, notching 25 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals.
The Thunder is back in action Sunday against Toronto at the Ford Center.
