DALLAS – On a night that featured very little defense, the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russell Westbrook and James Harden both put on a show in the annual rookie-sophomore game.
Westbrook was the highlight of the night for the sophomores; he showed off his ability to drive to the basket as well as shoot from outside on the way to a game-high 40 points. Harden finished with 22 points to help the rookies win 140-128.
The Thunder’s Kevin Durant coached the rookie team to its first win in eight years. The Spurs’ DeJuan Blair dominated the boards for the rookies, but the Kings’ Tyreke Evans won the game MVP.
