TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Tulsa women's basketball team continued its losing streak on Saturday with a 57-49 loss to Marshall. The Golden Hurricane has now lost five straight.

Larissa Williams had a game-high 16 points and 12 rebounds while Kara Vaughan added 12. They were the only Hurricane players in double-figures.

TU (6-10, 0-5) went 18-of-70 on field goals while the Thundering Herd (12-7, 4-2) connected on nearly 40 percent of its shots.

Marshall took a 24-17 advantage into the break after holding TU to just one basket for nearly 13 minutes in the first half. Both teams traded baskets and tied the game, 32-32 at the 12:48 mark, but Chantelle Handy shot a free throw to give the Thundering Herd the go-ahead basket. Tulsa never had the lead again.

Kendra King finished with 14 points for Marshall.
