Marshall took a 24-17 advantage into the break after holding TU to just one basket for nearly 13 minutes in the first half. Both teams traded baskets and tied the game, 32-32 at the 12:48 mark, but Chantelle Handy shot a free throw to give the Thundering Herd the go-ahead basket. Tulsa never had the lead again.
