TULSA, Oklahoma -- The third time was not a charm for the Tulsa women, as they dropped their third straight Conference USA game, 58-55 to Tulane.
Taleya Mayberry finished with 10 points, but was plagued by 8 turnovers. Larissa Williams had 16 points on the strength of 12-of-14 shooting from the free-throw line.
Down 53-43 late in the second half, Tulsa (6-8, 0-3) went on an 11-1 run to tie the game with 90 seconds remaining. However, the Tulane Green Wave (13-3, 2-1) was able to close out the game at the charity stripe going four-of-eight in the 1:15 of the game. Meanwhile, Tulsa managed just one point during that same stretch.
The Golden Hurricane led 28-23 at halftime, but quickly saw the lead disappear after a 9-0 run by the Green Wave to start the second half.
Chassity Brown had 15 points and Danielle Nunn finished with 10 for the Green Wave.
