Tulsa Football Loses Assistant Coach

The Golden Hurricane lose a member of its staff to Conference USA rival Memphis.

TULSA, Oklahoma –– University of Tulsa’s cornerback coach Galen Scott has resigned his position from the Tulsa football coaching staff, and has been named to the as linebackers coach for the Memphis Tigers, under first-year head coach Larry Porter.

Scott spent two seasons with the Golden Hurricane where he coached the cornerbacks last year and the outside linebackers/safeties in the 2008 season.

Before coming to Tulsa, Scott spent seven years on the coaching staff at Illinois State, including his final two seasons as the Redbirds’ defensive coordinator.
