TULSA, Oklahoma -- ORU freshman guard Mikey Manghum was cleared by the NCAA Monday, after being ruled ineligible for 16 games.

The walk-on recently completed a 16-game suspension for playing club games while in England with players who received compensation.

Manghum will also sit during ORU’s game against IUPUI for playing in a previous game with the Golden Eagles, when the coaching staff was unaware of his amateurism certification status.

Manghum served as captain of the England’s 2009 U-18 team. He led his team to a fourth-place finish at the European Championship.

The Golden Eagles will travel to IUPUI Jan. 14.
