HOUSTON -- The Oklahoma City Thunder ended its stretch of five games in seven day with a 95-90 loss against Houston. Oklahoma City has now lost four of its last five.
Jeff Green finished with a team-high 21 points. Russell Westbrook added 15, while Kevin Durant had 13. It marks just the fifth time this year Durant did not lead the Thunder in scoring.
The Thunder led 34-31 with 5:50 left in the first half, but the Rockets ended the second quarter on a 19-6 run to lead 50-40 at halftime.
Oklahoma City found itself down 17 points in the third quarter but steadily battled back, getting as close as 82-81. However, Houston was able to fend off the charge, thanks to a game-high 31 points by Trevor Ariza. Chuck Hayes had a career-high 15 rebounds to go along with 13 points.
The Rockets beat the Thunder 105-94 and 100-91 in their two previous meetings.
