TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa’s new WNBA franchise added a player in today’s WNBA Sacramento Monarchs dispersal draft.
Guard Scholanda Robinson was selected by Tulsa with the seventh overall pick. Last season, Robinson averaged 6.6 points per game while starting 29 of 34 games with Sacramento.
Robinson, an LSU graduate, is 15th all-time on the school’s career scoring list.
The Monarchs folded in early December after a change in ownership.
Former University of Oklahoma center Courtney Paris was selected with the fourth overall pick by the Chicago Sky. Paris was selected by the Monarchs as the seventh overall pick in the 2009 WNBA entry draft.
Former Stanford forward Nicole Parker was the first player taken in the dispersal draft, selected by the New York Liberty.
