TULSA--Tulsa linebacker Kaipo Sarkissian is receiving some national recognition for his performance against Rice.
Sarkissian was named Honorable Mention Linebacker Performer by the College Football Performance Awards today. It is the sixth time this season that a Tulsa player has earned weekly honors from the CFPA.
Sarkissian recorded four tackles, all for a loss, in the Golden Hurricane’s 27-10victorywin overthe Owls on Saturday. On the season, the senior has 11 tackles, four tackles for a loss, and one sack.
According to the CFPA, recipients are selected by objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams.
