LOVE COUNTY, Oklahoma -- A horse in Love County, Oklahoma is being tested for a highly contagious virus.

The potentially deadly equine herpes virus-one has spread from the west, forcing hose competitions in Tulsa and elsewhere to be postponed.

The Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association show was canceled as a precaution, since horses from a show in Ogden, Utah, would be attending.

That's where several horses were apparently infected, including the horse in Love County. That horse and a herd of about 30 animals have been quarantined.
