WASHINGTON COUNTY, Oklahoma -- A Bartlesville man is in the hospital after a car he was driving ran off U.S. Highway 75, just south of Bartlesville Monday morning and crashed into a billboard sign.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 48-year-old Kevin Tallbear was southbound on 75 when for some unknown reason his car started to drift into another lane.
Troopers say Tallbear realized he was about to hit another southbound vehicle, so he hit the brakes, causing the car to go off the road, thru a fence, hitting the billboard before overturning in a field.
He was listed in the Bartlesville hospital in fair condition.
