TULSA, Oklahoma -- Folks at PC Power argue computers are almost essential to Oklahoma kids. The charity said it had one if its most productive computer drives Saturday.
They ended up with 25 donated PCs that can be refurbished and given to children who would never otherwise have a computer, because their families can't afford them.
"For a child to compete successfully in this society, a computer's a necessity instead of a luxury, what it used to be," said Karen Ford, PC Power Executive Director.
Organizers say more and more schools are assigning online homework, that can only be completed with a computer.
