Postal Service Hopes To 'Stamp Out Hunger' In Green Country

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Helping Oklahoma's Own put food on the table. The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma teamed up with the post office to Stamp Out Hunger.

Mail carriers picked up thousands of canned goods from generous families, while delivering Saturday's mail.

"I've known my people for about five years and you can start when people start struggling - by what they're getting in the mail, the things that are stacking up around the house," Mail Carrier Bryan Hamilton said.

The food bank expects to stock more than 100,000 pounds of food just from this event.
